What got you started making music and recording?
Music was something that has been in my family and life since birth. I was introduced into making and creating my own music when I was 10 years old. My older cousin was an emcee/producer by the name of Deezee and he was the one who showed me how to write and make beats. Every other weekend I would spend a night at my aunts house and I would always bug him to let me rap on beats till finally one day he got tired of giving me beats so he finally showed me how to download fl studio on my computer. From that point I put my head down and never looked up.
How long have you been doing what you do?
I have been creating music for about 12 years of my existence on this planet. It wasn't till about 5 years ago that I started to truly chase and pursue this as something I would do for a living.
Has the response to your music been what you expected?
To be honest I thought everyone was going to laugh and make fun of me which actually didn't happen at all. A lot of kids from New Mexico and other parts of the world hit me up and told me how I have inspired them and how my music helps them when they are in times of pain or joy. That surprised me, but made me happy because I used this same music I made to heal myself.
How do you think the place you're in affects how you make your music?
The place I'm in effects my music in many ways, one of them being the environment and landscape I'm in. I use whats around me to channel my holy spirit of creation to make what I wish.
What would you tell your younger self if you could go back 10 years?
The one and the only thing I would tell myself 10 years ago would to keep doing what you are doing. I believe the place I'm in at this moment of time is exactly where I need to be.
What was it like filming Lemonade and Flooded, your most recent music videos?
Filming Lemonade and Flooded was an amazing experience. My camp is filled with beautiful souls who know how to focus, create and make whatever they feel and turn it into something amazing. I give thanks to JAK Media, Live Above Win Daily, and People Ruin Everything in helping turn those songs into dope visuals.

Red chile or green chile?
GREEN ALL DAY, don't @ me.
Do you prefer solo work? or collaboration?
I love both. Its about balance and the challenge of bringing two minds into one space and having them create is dope to me. At the same time, I value creating on my own because I can experience what ever I wish and not have to focus on fitting it into a collaboration song.
Anything else you would like to mention?
Scutty EP March 23rd. Word to Rakimalnur.
